Senior Medical Officer – Emergency Department / General Practice

Location: Fremantle & Inner Southern Suburbs, WA. Temporary position with a Southern WA hospital from 15 May 2026 to 30 July 2026.

Competitive daily rate of $2600 – $2900 plus accommodation and travel provided.

Responsibilities

- Provide emergency care in the regional hospital’s ED, including mixed shifts of 0800‑1800 and 1500‑2300.
- Medical support for inpatients, primary health care service, acute ward (10 beds) and residential care (22 beds).
- On‑call duties 2300‑0800 for Category 1 presentations as required.




- Document and manage patient care records in accordance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

- Board‑certified Medical Officer or equivalent with emergency medicine experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Current registration with AHPRA and right to work in Australia.
- Immediate availability for the stated dates.
