AAFCANS purpose is to serve the Australian Defence Community across 27 bases nationally. Our venues are designed to provide convenient café style coffee, meals and convenience products on Army and Air Force bases.

AAFCANS operate at Robertson Base in our cafe, this role supports operations within the kitchen, stock management and customer service support.

About the role:

- Full-time permanent Role Level 1- Monday to Friday

- Based at Robertson Barracks, Darwin

- Must be available for early morning starts.

- Fast Paced Customer Service - coffee preparation and service.





- The role will assist with the stock management on base which involves heavy lifting and driving from one area to another – therefore must have a driver’s license.

- Unpacking deliveries and stacking shelves throughout the venues

- Medium to large food preparation and cooking of cafe food items for the venue

- Must have a vehicle and driver licence to access the base

There is no requirement to have a forklift license for this role.

We'd love to hear from people with:

- Previous barista experience

- Experience with receiving stock through stock database

- Experience with electronic ordering systems

- Strong customer service skills

- Hold a current Australian driver's licence (Essential)

- Comfortable to work alone.

- Knowledge of food handling & hygiene standards

- Confidence in a fast-paced workplace

As you will be working on a Defence base in a secure area you will need to be able to complete a National Police Check and be an Australian Citizen.
