Assemble Solutions is partnering with a Federal Government client to identify an experienced Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing ICT Operations team responsible for supporting critical government infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to work within a complex enterprise environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining, enhancing and modernising the organisation's storage and infrastructure platforms.
Working within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, administering and optimising enterprise storage environments across physical and virtual platforms. You'll contribute to the ongoing reliability, performance and security of critical ICT infrastructure while also helping shape future storage capabilities.

- Baseline Security Clearance
- 3 year contract
- Up to $1200pd inclusive of super (dependant on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure and administer enterprise storage infrastructure
- Manage and optimise Storage Area Networks (SAN)
- Configure and maintain Fibre Channel SAN switches
- Monitor, tune and troubleshoot storage performance and availability
- Produce high-quality design, build and operational documentation
- Support backup and recovery platforms
- Contribute to infrastructure upgrades and technology improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team
- Participate in occasional after-hours maintenance activities and on-call support where required
About You
We're looking for someone with strong enterprise infrastructure experience who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working in collaborative environments.
You will ideally bring experience across several of the following technologies:
- HPE 3PAR, Primera or Alletra Storage
- NetApp E-Series
- Dell Data Domain
- Broadcom/Brocade Fibre Channel SAN Switches
- SANnav
- Scality Artesca
- Veeam Backup & Replication
You'll also demonstrate:
- Experience designing, administering and troubleshooting enterprise storage platforms
- Strong documentation skills across solution design, build and operational procedures
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to mentor team members and work collaboratively across technical teams
