Operating from their Henderson facility-the largest composite manufacturing plant in the Southern Hemisphere-they are recognised for their innovation, world-class manufacturing capabilities and commitment to delivering high-quality engineered solutions.

They are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team, supporting critical production operations across multiple manufacturing lines.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with strong experience in production plant maintenance. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing specialised equipment, ensuring production reliability and minimising downtime across a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across a busy production facility.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults across multiple operating production lines.
- Maintain and repair conveyors, chain drives, bearings, cogs, hydraulic systems, valves and pipework.
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities and respond efficiently to breakdowns.
- Identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions to minimise production interruptions.
- Communicate clearly during shift handovers to ensure continuity between teams.
- Work safely in line with site procedures, including occasional confined space activities.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.




- Previous experience in maintenance and repairs within a production plant environment (workshop-based experience alone will not be suitable).
- Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with conveyors, bearings, hydraulics, valves and general mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks.
- A mature approach with a strong focus on safety, quality and not cutting corners.
- Robust communication skills to support effective handovers.
- Confined Space ticket (preferred).
- Full Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screening & Medical prior to commencement.
