Role Overview
Ramelius Resources is looking for a Safety Advisor to join our Exploration team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You'll work alongside site supervisors to embed a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance and support continuous improvement of safety systems across remote operations. You'll be primarily based at the MMG hub with travel to other exploration sites across WA as required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on safety advisory support across exploration site activitiesConduct site inspections,
hazard identification and risk assessmentsInvestigate incidents and near misses and develop corrective and preventive actionsSupport the development, review and implementation of safety management plans and proceduresDeliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and training to site-based personnelMonitor and report on safety performance metrics and maintain accurate recordsEnsure compliance with WA WHS legislation, Ramelius standards and site requirementsLiaise with contractor teams to ensure risks are managed effectively
About You
Minimum 2 years' safety experience in mining, exploration or resourcesCertificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)Solid working knowledge of WA WHS legislation and mining regulationsProven experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysisCurrent WA Manual Driver's Licence (C Class minimum) and current First Aid and CPRComfortable working FIFO across remote exploration sitesExperience with INX or similar safety management systems an advantageICAM Lead Investigator training and Cert IV in Training and Assessment well regardedExploration or mining environment experience a bonus
