Position Overview:

Mancala is currently on the lookout to recruit qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel / Drill Fitter for our project in Kalgoorlie, WA.

Primarily reporting to the site Site Manager/ Superintendent you will ensure that the Mechanical maintenance activities associated with the project are undertaken in a safe and timely manner in compliance with all legal, legislative and general duty of care business standards.

Duties include:

- Define the work scope for each job and review with Management.

- Ensure you attain and hold all relevant project and site inductions prior to working on the site.

- Ensure all parts and consumables are ordered and supplied for related jobs and projects.

- Generate maintenance back logs by use of the Maintenance Request System for all plant equipment and review with the Maintenance Superintendent on the weekly basis or shorter intervals if required.

- Facilitate repairs of plant equipment used throughout the operating projects, including completing all relevant paperwork and history notes at the completion of each job.





- Facilitate as required other technical requirements to assist operations and maintenance, this may include but not limited to operation of equipment.

- Establish and maintain the highest standard in promoting Mancala at all times.

- Ensure priorities are properly integrated with overall site procedures and statuary requirements through liaison with management, project managers, supervisors and trades/operational personnel.

Relevant Experience:

- 5+ years’ experience in the mining sector or other similar heavy industry is desirable.

- A mechanical trade qualification is essential.

- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering desirable.

- Experience in underground metalliferous operations with demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems used in underground metalliferous equipment. Eg. Drill Rigs, Boggers, Loader, Integrated Tool Carriers.

- Valuable Breakdown/ Fault Finding capabilities

- Previous mine site experience preferred

- Basic Microsoft office skills

- Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and National Police Clearance

- Australian Working Rights - Visa/ Residency etc.
