About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated full time Warehouse Team Leader to lead the day-to-day operations of our warehouse at Clinpath Pathology in Mile End. You will ensure the effective receipt, storage, inventory management and distribution of laboratory supplies across the organisation and to relevant stakeholders. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supporting the warehouse team while maintaining exceptional standards of safety, quality and customer service. Your work will play an important role in ensuring our laboratories, pathology collection centres, hospitals, medical practices and aged care facilities receive the supplies they need accurately, efficiently and on time. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and experience leading a team and have availability to work full time from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday we’d like to hear from you.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, support, and oversee the Warehouse team to maintain a safe, efficient and productive workplace
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management and distribution of laboratory supplies
- Oversee the accurate picking, packing and timely delivery of supplies to laboratories, collection centres, hospitals and other internal customers
- Monitor stock levels, coordinate stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records to ensure stock availability
- Assist with procurement activities, including urgent purchasing requirements, and ensure goods are accurately receipted and stored
- Maintain warehouse organisation, equipment, manual handling practices and waste management in accordance with Work Health and Safety and company requirements
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to enquiries and building positive relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, legislative requirements and confidentiality obligations
To be successful you will have:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse, stores or logistics operations picking and packing
- Previous experience leading or supervising a warehouse or stores team
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience with inventory management systems, stock control and warehouse documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry
- A current unencumbered Full Australian Driver's License & the ability to drive a transit van
- Legal right to work in Australia
- A valid National Police Certificate (for the purpose of employment obtained within last 12 months)
- Be physically fit and be able to carry and/or lift boxes
- Demonstrated commitment to Work Health and Safety, including safe manual handling practices and the ability to safely undertake physical warehouse duties
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality and remaining calm under pressure
Desirable (but not essential)
- Formal qualifications in management or leadership or supply chain operations
- Experience within healthcare, pathology or a regulated environment
- Knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes
- Forklift or Walkie Stacker (motorised pallet truck with a mast for lifting) licence and experience operating warehouse lifting equipment
