We're after a Senior Accountant or Business Services Manager to join us at our modern Kent Town office. We'd love this to be a full-time role, but we're flexible and open to part time arrangements.

About the role

You'll be a senior presence in our compliance team, with a robust focus on client communications and advisory support. As a small, close-knit team, openness and transparency matter to us, and so does having someone who's keen to build real relationships with clients, not just process their work.

The nitty gritty:

- Building and maintaining strong, trusted client relationships

- Preparing and reviewing tax returns, financial statements and BAS for all entity types

- Supporting business advisory work, including year-end tax planning

- Providing technical expertise and support to the team

- Reviewing and mentoring the work of other compliance team members





- Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies when required

You're motivated, proactive, reliable and highly organised. You're confident working independently, while still being a generous team player. You're detail-focused, curious and love solving problems rather than just flagging them.

Strong client communication skills will be highly regarded, but if you're not quite there yet and want to build that side of your career, we'll back you with the mentoring and support to get you there.

What we're looking for:

- Minimum 5+ years' experience in an Australian accounting firm

- CA or CPA qualified

- Good client communication skills, or a genuine desire to develop them with support

- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Skills and experience:

- Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent

- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail

- Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively

- Drive to grow professionally and take on more responsibility

- Experience reviewing or mentoring junior team members an advantage

- Experience with Xero and XPM will be highly regarded
