We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Positive Ageing Coordinator to join our team in our state-of-the-art aged care community nestled in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver engaging lifestyle, wellbeing and community programs that support residents to live their best lives every day.

Working closely with residents, families and the broader care team, you will play a key role in fostering a vibrant, inclusive and positive setting.

About the Role

As our Positive Ageing Coordinator, you will lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of innovative wellbeing and lifestyle programs that support residents' physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual wellbeing.

You will create opportunities for residents to maintain their independence, pursue their interests and build meaningful relationships while promoting dignity, choice and positive ageing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities





- Develop and coordinate engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs aligned with residents' interests and goals.

- Facilitate a diverse range of activities including fitness, arts, music, gardening, lifelong learning and social engagement programs.

- Promote a culture of positive ageing, inclusion and resident choice.

- Build connections with local community groups, schools, volunteers and service providers.

- Conduct resident assessments and develop individual wellbeing plans.

- Coordinate special events, celebrations and excursions.

- Support residents to maintain independence, purpose and meaningful participation.

- Collaborate with clinical and care teams to ensure a holistic approach to resident wellbeing.

- Recruit, train and support volunteers.

- Monitor program outcomes and continuously improve resident experiences.

About You

You are a people-focused professional who brings energy, creativity and compassion to everything you do with qualifications in Lifestyle and Leisure, or a related discipline, along with experience working within aged care, community services, disability services, or wellbeing programs. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong understanding of person-centred care and positive ageing principles.

Essential Skills & Experience





- Qualification in Lifestyle and Leisure

- Experience working in aged care, community services, disability services or wellbeing programs.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and seamlessly manage a variety of responsibilities.

- Ability to coordinate multiple programs and events effectively.

- Strong organisational and administrative skills.

- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable

- Experience in residential aged care.

- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
