Our platform combines solar/off grid hardware and cloud software, artificial intelligence, computer vision, video, IoT devices and mobile applications.
We are seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Software Engineer to join us and help build, improve and support the Spectur platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role covering frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, cloud systems and external integrations.
Artificial intelligence will be central to both how you work and what you build.
The Role
Working with our product, engineering and cloud teams, you will:Develop and maintain web and mobile application featuresBuild backend services and RESTful APIsIntegrate with IoT devices, cameras, customer systems and third-party platformsDevelop AI-enabled features, automation and computer vision integrationsUse AI coding tools for development, testing, debugging, refactoring and documentationDesign and maintain databases, queues and event-driven workflowsInvestigate production issues and improve performance and reliabilityWrite automated tests and participate in code reviewsContribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deploymentsTake features from requirements through to production support
About You
You will have:Around 3 to 6 years of professional software development experienceStrong full-stack development experience across frontend and backend systemsExperience with C#, .NET, Node.js, Java or a similar backend technologyExperience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as Vue, React,



Angular or BlazorExperience designing and integrating RESTful APIsPractical experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databasesExperience with cloud-hosted applications in Azure, AWS or similarWorking knowledge of Git, Docker and automated deployment pipelinesExperience troubleshooting production applications and integrationsA practical commitment to testing, maintainability and software quality
Experience with web and mobile applications, MongoDB, SQL Server, MySQL, Redis, Azure, AWS or Kubernetes will be highly regarded.
AI Experience
You do not need to be a machine-learning researcher, but you should be comfortable using AI as a serious engineering tool.
Experience in any of the following will be valuable:GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or similar toolsAI APIs and large language modelsComputer vision or image processingStructured AI outputs and workflow automationLocal or cloud-hosted AI modelsPython-based AI or data processing services
You must be able to understand, test and take responsibility for AI-generated code.
Particularly Relevant Experience
Exposure to any of the following will be advantageous:IoT and edge-connected devicesCCTV, video streaming or image processingRTSP, WebRTC or HLSMobile or cross-platform application developmentEvent-driven systems and message queuesGovernment, infrastructure, or security systemsContainerised applications
