We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part time Purchasing Assistant to join our team. Initially, the primary focus of this position will be assisting our purchasing team with the reconciliation, approval, and filing of supplier invoices. As you become familiar with our business, the role will expand to include support for marketing administration, maintaining marketing records and follow-up activities, and assisting with sourcing new and special products.
Ordinary Hours:
Monday - Friday
9am to 2pm
Key responsibilities:
- Reconcile supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received
- Assist with the approval process for supplier invoices
- Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems
- Liaise with the Purchasing Department to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Update and maintain purchasing and supplier records
- Assist with maintaining marketing records and supplier promotional activities
- Follow up on marketing initiatives and supplier commitments
- Assist with researching and sourcing new and special products
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing team
About you:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Well-organized with excellent time management skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and documentation
- Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook would be beneficial
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
