We're seeking a Principal / Senior Cultural Heritage Advisor to join our Western Australian team, supporting a diverse portfolio of major projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced heritage professional looking to take on greater project leadership, or a capable advisor ready to accelerate their career through meaningful fieldwork, client engagement and technical delivery.

You'll work directly with Traditional Owners, clients and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver culturally appropriate outcomes while helping shape projects from planning through to completion.

The Opportunity

This is a diverse, full time positioning from our Perth Office. It is a hands-on role combining fieldwork, stakeholder engagement, GIS, technical reporting and project coordination. You'll have the opportunity to contribute across every stage of a project—from survey planning and field investigations through to reporting, approvals and ongoing heritage management.

Key responsibilities

- Provide expert strategic advice and recommendations on cultural heritage management, indigenous consultation, and multicultural service delivery to clients and stakeholders

- Lead and oversee cultural heritage impact assessments, consultations, and compliance processes in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice standards

- Develop and implement culturally sensitive engagement strategies and frameworks that foster meaningful consultation with indigenous communities and multicultural groups

- Mentor and supervise junior advisors and team members,



providing guidance on cultural heritage matters and fostering professional development within the team

- Conduct research, analysis, and feasibility studies on cultural heritage, indigenous rights, and multicultural service provision issues

- Prepare comprehensive reports, recommendations, and strategic plans on cultural heritage and indigenous matters for presentation to clients and senior management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with indigenous communities, cultural organisations, government agencies, and key stakeholders

- Contribute to business development initiatives, tender responses, and project proposals that align with our cultural heritage and indigenous services offerings

- Stay current with legislative changes, policy developments, and best practice standards in indigenous affairs, cultural heritage protection, and multicultural services

- Provide training and education to internal teams and clients on cultural sensitivity, indigenous engagement protocols, and effective multicultural service delivery

About You

You're an organised, practical and collaborative professional who enjoys balancing technical work with meaningful stakeholder engagement. You're equally comfortable in the field, working remotely, or providing trusted advice to clients.

You'll ideally bring:

- A degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Cultural Heritage or a related discipline.

- Experience within cultural heritage consulting, mining, infrastructure, government or the resources sector.

- Strong cultural heritage survey and assessment experience.

- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.





- Experience working collaboratively with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal stakeholders.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.

- A current Australian Driver's Licence.

- A willingness to travel regularly to regional and remote locations.

Desirable

- Experience working within Western Australia's cultural heritage legislative framework.

- ArcGIS or other spatial mapping experience.

- Experience using GPS, digital field mapping and mobile data capture technologies.

- Exposure to metalliferous mining operations.

- Relevant site certifications such as First Aid.

- Experience leading field teams or mentoring developing professionals.
