Lead/Senior Business AnalystAbout the OpportunityAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Lead/Senior Business Analyst to join a major enterprise-wide technology transformation program.The organisation is undertaking a significant reform initiative aimed at modernising a critical business platform, improving operational efficiency, enhancing user experience and supporting future digital capability. Operating within a complex environment, the successful candidate will work across multiple business and technology stakeholders to analyse current processes, define future-state operating models and ensure business requirements are successfully translated into delivery outcomes.This role offers the chance to influence large-scale organisational change while working closely with senior leaders, subject-matter experts, delivery teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead business analysis activities across discovery, requirements definition, solution design and delivery phases.
- Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, validate solutions and build stakeholder consensus.
- Analyse current-state processes and design future-state business processes and operating models.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, service delivery and customer outcomes.
- Produce high-quality business analysis artefacts including:
- Business requirements
- Process maps
- Use cases
- User journeys
- Functional specifications
- Epics, Features and User Stories
- Collaborate with technical teams,



vendors and subject-matter experts to ensure solutions align with business needs.
- Support risk identification, dependency management and decision-making through detailed analysis and recommendations.
- Contribute to governance, planning and successful delivery of transformation outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
Skills & ExperienceEssential

- Extensive experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst on complex digital, software, platform or systems transformation programs.
- Strong experience eliciting and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in current-state and future-state process mapping and business process improvement.
- Proven experience facilitating workshops and managing a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience working with business and technical teams to deliver practical and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience operating within Agile delivery environments.
- Demonstrated experience creating and managing Epics, Features and User Stories.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.

Desirable
- Experience working on enterprise platforms, case management systems or large-scale business applications.
- Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, AAC, ECBA or equivalent.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Visio and/or Figma.
- Experience within highly regulated, complex operational or public sector environments.
