Bryan & Petersen Insurance Pty Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable professional to join our administration team in Warrnambool, VIC. This is a full time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation. As Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for managing vendor payments, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate financial records. This role is essential to our operations and directly supports the company's financial objectives and operational efficiency.
What you'll be doing
- Processing and coding incoming vendor invoices accurately and efficiently into our accounting system
- Managing payment runs and ensuring payments are made to suppliers on time and in accordance with terms agreed
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies or queries promptly
- Maintaining and updating vendor master files with current payment and contact information
- Preparing and submitting payment documentation for authorisation according to company policy
- Responding to vendor enquiries regarding payment status and invoice details
- Supporting the administration team with administration tasks as required
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working in an Accounts Payable or similar accounts administration role
- Strong proficiency with accounting software, MYOB
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions
- Sound knowledge of invoice processing procedures
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with our suppliers & contractors
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security
