You will be working alongside a Midwife to deliver culturally safe, flexible antenatal care and social and emotional support for Aboriginal women in the Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Service.
- Provide nonclinical advocacy, support, liaison and health promotion services in community and hospital settings.
- Facilitate access to government and nongovernment services to meet the social, emotional and cultural needs of clients.
- Deliver holistic, culturally sensitive care to Aboriginal women and their families.
- Provide clinical services within your defined Scope of Practice.
- Contribute as part of a cooperative, supportive healthcare team.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- This is an identified position in accordance with Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- NSW Working with Children Check.
- NSW Driver License and ability and willingness travel for work purposes.
- Aboriginal Health Practitioners must be registered with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia.
