The Role

As the QA & Test Manager, you'll be responsible for shaping and delivering the testing function across the business. You'll manage a blended team of manual and automated testers across multiple time zones and take end-to-end ownership of the test lifecycle, from strategy through release sequencing to post‑deployment verification.

This is a high‑impact, hands‑on leadership role where you'll drive platform quality, sequence and coordinate quality across concurrent releases, influence engineering practices, and ensure our critical releases support the company's growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a distributed team of testers (onshore and offshore), fostering collaboration, quality, and accountability.
- Testing Strategy: Own the QA strategy across manual, automation, and regression domains. Define best practices for test design, execution, and reporting.
- Sprint Sequencing: Own the sequencing of testing work within each sprint, balancing coverage, risk, and delivery timelines so quality work lands where it matters most.
- Concurrent Release Management: Coordinate quality across multiple concurrent releases, including integration projects with lenders, aggregators,



and other third‑party systems, keeping parallel streams aligned and shippable.
- Release Sign-off: Be the final gatekeeper for release quality, ensuring new features, bug fixes, and regressions are all thoroughly validated before go‑live.
- Post‑Deployment Quality: Oversee quality after deployment, including production verification testing (PVT) and post‑release checks, to confirm each release is healthy in production and to catch issues early.
- Automation Ownership: Lead the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of our test automation framework and coverage.
- AI Enablement: Drive adoption of AI tools across the QA function to improve test design, execution efficiency, and defect detection.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to ensure testability, traceability, and alignment with business requirements.
- Defect Management: Drive effective triaging, tracking, and resolution of issues across environments and deployments.
- Continuous Improvement: Introduce and iterate on QA tools, metrics, and processes to improve cycle time, coverage, and confidence.

What We're Looking For

- Experience: 5 to 8+ years in software testing, including 2+ years in a team leadership or delivery management role. Demonstrated experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium). Familiarity with test case and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
- Test Management: Expertise in regression planning, test case management, sprint sequencing, and full‑cycle release testing across multiple concurrent releases in Agile environments.
- Release & Integration:



Experience coordinating quality across concurrent releases and integration projects, including production verification testing after deployment.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills. Able to lead across geographies and time zones.
- Process-Driven: Strong grasp of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and shift‑left testing practices.
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a high‑growth startup setting with evolving priorities and continuous delivery.
- AI Tooling Experience: Exposure to or hands‑on experience with AI‑powered development or testing tools (e.g., test generation, code assistants, or quality analysis tools) to enhance delivery outcomes.
- Innovation Mindset: Demonstrated ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI, to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and overall product quality.

Nice to Have

- Experience testing AI or LLM‑based features, including document extraction, classification, or other non‑deterministic outputs.
- Exposure to financial document processing, lending, or broker and banking workflows.
- Familiarity with our kind of stack: TypeScript, Nuxt, Node services, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Experience with performance, security, or compliance testing in a regulated setting.

- A reliable, trusted regression suite that lets the team release with confidence and at pace.
- A clear, measurable drop in defects reaching customers, especially in our document and lending workflows.
- A shift‑left approach embedded across the team, with QA working alongside BAs and engineers from the start to sequence work and plan quality into releases rather than inspecting for it at the end.
- AI used deliberately and safely across testing, with explicit lines on where human judgement stays in the loop.
