The Role

As the Team Leader - HVAC, you will lead a team of HVAC Service Technicians while remaining hands‑on when required. You will be responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance, reactive service and repair works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. Working closely with the Service Coordinators, Service Managers and Account Managers, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to clients while mentoring and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, supervise and mentor a team of HVAC Service Technicians.
- Allocate daily work and ensure technicians are deployed efficiently.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex HVAC faults and repairs.
- Carry out hands‑on servicing, maintenance and fault finding when required.
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs are completed on schedule.
- Diagnose faults and provide practical technical solutions.
- Review HVAC system performance and recommend corrective actions.




- Coordinate closely with Service Coordinators and Account Managers to meet client service requirements.
- Prepare and submit minor quotations for repair works.
- Complete service reports, call reports, timesheets and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out workplace inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients.
- Support the ongoing development and training of apprentices and junior technicians.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

- Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification).
- Minimum five years' experience working as an HVAC Technician within commercial environments.
- Previous experience leading, supervising or mentoring technicians.
- Strong commercial HVAC service and maintenance experience.
- Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Robust understanding of commercial mechanical services.




- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence.
- White Card.
