Student Vacation prospect: Build the extraordinary, every day The Hatch Student Vacation Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career. As part of the Control, Automation & Electrical team you will gain exposure to related design engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
You may be involved in various phases of projects from scoping and conceptual design, pre- feasibility studies, through to detailed engineering. Our strength is in our people, processes and tools and our focus remains on quality, safety, cost and schedule.

Work with one of Australia’s Top Intern Employers You bring to the role: You will be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechatronic / Control Systems Engineering, with a strong academic record, ideally in your third year (or later) of study. Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.
The 12-week, full-time program commences on Monday, 23 Nov 2026. Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday,
