A Listening Ear & Gentle Company – Community Volunteering in Northern Sydney

We're looking for a warm, compassionate volunteer who enjoys conversation, listening, and building meaningful connections.

Our client is a friendly and easy-going lady living in Forestville who loves a good chat and sharing treasured memories. Family is at the heart of her life, and she enjoys reminiscing about special moments with her children, grandchildren, and late husband. She also delights in sharing the stories behind the souvenirs and keepsakes displayed throughout her home.

A regular visitor would provide the opportunity for meaningful conversation, companionship, and connection.

Recently, her memory has begun to decline, and she now spends much of her time at home watching television. Regular social visits and engaging conversation would make a genuine difference to her wellbeing and brighten her days.

This volunteer chance would suit someone who naturally brings:

- A friendly, patient, and understanding approach
- A genuine interest in listening to life stories and cherished memories

- Confidence in supporting an older person experiencing memory changes
- A warm conversational style and the ability to build rapport

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
