Job Details

Base pay range: $80,000 - $95,000 + Super + up to 30% bonus.

Location: CBD.

Role Overview

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to step up into their first Accountant role. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end financial accounting and management reporting across multiple entities in two different segments. On a monthly basis, you will prepare month‑end reconciliations, working papers, BAS returns, and management reports with variance analysis. On a weekly basis, you will liaise with project teams and internal stakeholders to support operational and financial decision‑making. You will also process invoices, review credit card transactions, and provide accurate financial information to support ongoing business operations.

This role provides the opportunity to contribute to commercial projects. You will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and ad‑hoc reporting,



providing business and financial advice to stakeholders while building expertise in multi‑entity finance. The role also offers exposure to process improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and career development opportunities, positioning you for future growth within the finance team.

Responsibilities

- Manage end‑to‑end financial accounting for multiple entities, including AP, reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close.
- Prepare working papers, BAS returns, and management reports with variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Process mid‑month and end‑of‑month payment runs, including invoice approvals and credit card transaction reviews.
- Support the annual and interim group audit processes, including preparing technical accounting papers.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and ad‑hoc financial reporting for different segments.
