About the Role:
As our Accounts Officer, you’ll play an integral role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our finance functions. You’ll work closely with our Finance teams to provide accurate, timely and professional support across a range of business activities.
Role Accountabilities:
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and corporate credit card expenses.
- Administer Employment Fund purchases in line with funding requirements.
- Raise purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
- Obtain supplier quotations and liaise with suppliers.
- Monitor Employment Fund expenditure and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain financial documentation to support audits and compliance.
- Respond to enquiries from suppliers and internal staff.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Team and contribute to improving financial processes.

Requirements:
Essential
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an account payable, accounts officer, or finance administration role.
- Sound knowledge of accounts payable, procurement, and financial administration processes.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using accounting software, such as Xero and Dext.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a willingness to support team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with financial policies and procedures.
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent qualifications or experience.
- Experience administering government-funded programs.
- Knowledge of Employment Fund or similar government funding and purchasing arrangements.
- Experience working within a compliance-driven environment.
