Health Services Organisation located in Adelaide CBD are looking for an experienced Collections Officer for an initial 6 month contract.
This position is ideal for someone who has strong relationship-building skills with empathy, resilience, and an outcome-focused mindset. You'll be engaging with customers during sensitive circumstances, requiring the ability to ask thoughtful questions, actively listen, and communicate effectively to achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their circumstances and identify appropriate solutions.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through empathetic and professional communication.
- Negotiate and manage payment arrangements in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, agreements and case progress.
Required Background
- 2-5 years high-volume Collections experience
- Good Reconciliations experience required
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills required to guide challenging conversations whilst demonstrating empathy.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail
- Sound understanding of hardship assistance, collections processes, and relevant regulatory obligations.
