Role Description This full-time, on-site Accredited Practising Dietitian role is based in Springfield Lakes, QLD. The dietitian will conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, develop individualised care plans, and provide ongoing nutritional counselling to clients across a range of health conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering medical nutrition therapy, supporting weight management and lifestyle change programs, and documenting clinical notes in line with professional standards.
The role involves working collaboratively with other health providers, educating clients and families, and contributing to the refinement of holistic care programs.
The dietitian will also participate in quality improvement activities and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current nutrition research and guidelines. Qualifications
Strong foundation in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to apply evidence-based practice in a clinical setting.
Proficiency in Nutritional Counselling to support behaviour change and client engagement.
Experience in Medical Nutrition Therapy for a range of conditions (e.g., metabolic, gastrointestinal, cardiometabolic, and other chronic diseases).
Skills in Weight Management interventions, including assessment, goal setting, and ongoing monitoring.
Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status or eligibility for APD accreditation through Dietitians Australia.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a closely related discipline.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse clients and colleagues.
Solid clinical documentation, time management, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently on-site while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
Life experience is essential
Training and mentoring will be provided.
