We’re looking for a proactive Administrative Assistant to step into a permanent role within our People team, someone who thrives on keeping things running smoothly and making a real impact. You’ll play a key role in delivering effective project and administrative support, contributing through insightful reporting, careful coordination, and trusted handling of confidential information.
Your Role in Action - Provide reliable day-to-day administrative and coordination support to keep the People team running effectively, including handling confidential information with discretion - Manage and maintain document systems, coordinate meetings and consultations, and produce accurate, clear meeting minutes - Build and maintain effective working relationships across the business to support collaboration and efficient outcomes - Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders - Manage competing priorities in a changing environment, adapting quickly to business and customer needs - Take accountability for delivering tasks, reports, and outcomes on time and to a high standard; identify and elevate issues where required - Support process improvement initiatives and assist with invoicing, payments, and other administrative tasks as needed What Makes You a Great Fit - Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role with a strong customer focus and an understanding of how teams operate effectively - Sound judgement and problem‑solving skills, with the confidence to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team - Well‑developed organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal),
with the ability to prepare and format reports and documentation to a high standard - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and confidence working with digital systems and tools - Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team environment By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
