We are expanding our team, therefore an exciting opportunity has arisen for another experienced AHS Trainer to join our EACON family in our Autonomous Haulage operations in Western Australia. This is a site-based position operating initially on a rotating roster of 8 days on, 6 days off. This role is offered on a full-time basis and reports to our Product Strategy Manager.

During the initial stages of system training and familiarisation this role will have a short period of ad hoc roster requirements. There may also be short periods where night shift rostering may need to occur to support a deployment transition or similar. As an Autonomous Haulage Trainer with EACON, you’ll play a key role in supporting the secure and successful transition to cutting-edge autonomous mining operations in Western Australia.

Working closely with operators, control room personnel, and site leaders, you’ll deliver hands-on, competency-based training across autonomous haulage systems, fleet management software, and control room environments. Additionally, you will assist in developing and delivering training programs for the EACON ORCASTRA Autonomous Haulage System, support commissioning and go-live activities, and ensure training aligns with operational and safety standards. This role suits a proactive, adaptable trainer who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings a strong coaching mindset, and is passionate about influencing safe behaviours, operational discipline, and continuous improvement in autonomous operations.

Key Responsibilities include

Assist in the development of training programs for the EACON ORCASTRA Autonomous Haulage System.





Conduct competency-based assessments in accordance with relevant units of competency and organisational standards.

Provide both theoretical and practical training on autonomous haul truck systems, fleet management software, and control room operations.

Deliver training on safety systems, emergency response procedures, and risk management specific to autonomous operations.

Maintain accurate training records, competency matrices, and compliance documentation within our Learning Management System.

Participate in commissioning, testing, and go-live activities to ensure training alignment.

Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, including working with frontline operators, supervisors, and leadership.

High level of adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving operational environments.

Strong coaching mindset with the ability to influence safe behaviours and operational discipline.

Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement focus.

Comfortable working independently on site while remaining aligned with central training and technical teams.

Demonstrated commitment to complying with site safety management systems, critical risk protocols, and autonomous safety frameworks.

Ability to stop work and intervene when unsafe conditions or behaviours are identified during training activities.





A strong safety record and genuine desire to encourage safer ways of working.

Essential

Criteria

TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Mining industry experience (operations, production or maintenance).

At least 3 years of training experience in a mining setting.

Background in control room operations, fleet management, or machine operation.

WA C Class Driver's Licence (HR/HC preferred).

Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different skill levels.

A strong safety record and genuine desire to encourage safer ways of working.

An intermediate level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Office), including digital tablets.

Hands-on experience with autonomous mining systems or autonomous haul trucks.

Experience with fleet management systems.

Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
