This role is central to transforming architectural concepts into exact, detailed technical drawings that guide construction and realisation of our projects. As an Architectural Draftsperson, you will play a vital role in the design process, ensuring that all drawings meet industry standards, comply with building codes, and effectively communicate the architect's vision to builders, contractors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed architectural drawings using CAD software and industry-standard tools

- Translate architect sketches and design concepts into accurate technical documentation

- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards and Australian Building Standards

- Update and revise drawings based on feedback

- Coordinate with architects and other design professionals to resolve technical and spatial issues

- Maintain consistency in drawing standards, conventions and documentation across all project deliverables

- Prepare drawing sets for tender, development approval and construction phases

- Assist in the creation of 3D models and visualisations when required





- Manage drawing files and maintain organised project documentation systems

What We're Looking For

- Proficiency in architectural CAD software, with demonstrated expertise in Archicad

- Strong understanding of architectural drawing conventions, building codes and construction methodologies in Australia

- Minimum 3-5 years' professional experience in architectural drafting or related design workplace

- Excellent technical drawing skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team

- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret architectural concepts and translate them into technical documentation

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve technical drawing issues

- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) principles and experience working on BIM projects is advantageous

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology or equivalent formal training
