Role You will be a member of the Funds, Superannuation & Financial Services Team (FSF) and work with lawyers across all of Allens’ offices. Working closely with Partners and the wider team, you will gain exposure to the most complex and interesting superannuation and financial services regulatory and advisory work in the market. This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity with flexibility options for hybrid working.
Responsibilities - Advising leading Australian superannuation funds on major regulatory change projects.
- Assisting superannuation and other financial services clients on their response to regulatory investigations and prosecutions, including significant APRA and ASIC proceedings.
- Advising on large, complex superannuation fund mergers.
- Providing advice on broader regulatory needs, including superannuation and investment regulatory requirements and the licensing, disclosure and compliance requirements of the Australian financial services regime.
Qualifications - Experience working in superannuation or financial services, ideally from a top‑tier national or international firm or an in‑house team.
- A passion for specialising in superannuation and financial services regulatory work with a focus on the superannuation sector, while still building generalist expertise.
- Experience across both regulatory and investment work, offering the opportunity to leverage both skillsets.
