Grand Prix Narangba is seeking an experienced Automotive Stock Controller to join our team in Narangba, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our automotive inventory and ensuring optimal stock levels across our operations. With your logistics background, you will be instrumental in streamlining our stock management processes, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and maintaining accurate records to support the efficient operation of our fleet management business.

Key responsibilities
- Managing and monitoring automotive stock levels, including intake, storage and dispatch of vehicles and parts
- Conducting regular stock counts and reconciling inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Processing stock transfers, orders and returns in accordance with company procedures and industry standards
- Liaising with suppliers, warehouse staff and other departments to coordinate deliveries and stock movements
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies between physical stock and system records
- Maintaining detailed stock documentation and generating reports for management review
- Optimising storage and organisation systems to maximise warehouse efficiency and accessibility
- Supporting procurement by providing data on stock levels and usage patterns
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse and storage areas
- Training and guiding warehouse staff on stock handling procedures and best practices
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably within a logistics or automotive environment
- Strong proficiency with inventory management systems and warehouse management software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of supply chain and fleet management principles
- Competency in data entry and record-keeping with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Effective communication skills and the capacity to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle specifications is preferred but not essential
