Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Dandenong, VIC. You'll gain hands-on experience in a up-to-date workshop while completing an AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, learning from experienced technicians who specialise in hybrid and electric vehicles.

No experience? No problem. If you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll learn how to:
- Service, maintain and repair light vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
- Perform routine inspections, testing and preventative maintenance.
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Assist with battery system inspections and high-voltage safety procedures under qualified supervision.
- Follow manufacturer procedures and workplace safety standards.
- Support the day-to-day operations of a professional automotive workshop while developing your trade skills.

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and eager to build a career in the future of automotive technology. To be successful, you'll have:
- A genuine interest in the automotive industry, particularly hybrid and electric vehicles.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to completing your apprenticeship.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to work safely and follow instructions.
- A current driver's licence (or working towards obtaining one) is preferred.
