Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solution Architect – Migration Specialist to lead the design of scalable, secure, and resilient application architectures on AWS. This role focuses on defining target application architecture, analysing integration points, identifying gaps between current and target state designs, and providing design authority throughout the migration and application lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings solid expertise in containerised workloads, Amazon EKS, Helm‑based deployments, and CI/CD processes using Jenkins, along with a solid understanding of application design patterns and cloud native principles.

Key Responsibilities

- Define end-to-end target application architecture on AWS, including context, logical, deployment, and runtime views.
- Design target AWS cloud architectures using containerization strategies and Amazon EKS.
- Analyse middleware components (API gateways, message queues, identity management) for cloud migration.
- Create detailed technical designs and migration strategies for application portfolios.
- Provide architectural direction for Helm chart structure, configuration management, and environment overlays.
- Offer guidance on application scalability, availability, resilience, performance, and observability.




- Collaborate with build teams to ensure successful implementation and alignment with architectural designs.
- Establish architecture standards, reusable patterns, and best practices to support cloud adoption and migration programs.
- Conduct knowledge transfer, create architectural documentation, and support teams through design reviews and technical decision‑making.

Required Qualifications

- 15+ years of enterprise architecture experience with large‑scale distributed systems.
- 8+ years of hands‑on AWS cloud architecture experience (EKS, VPC, IAM, networking, security).
- Strong understanding of containerization, Kubernetes, and microservices architectural patterns.
- Experience with enterprise‑grade middleware, integration, and API platforms.
- Proven experience leading large‑scale migration programs, including multi‑application portfolios.
- Excellent architecture documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional certification.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio/Linkerd) and advanced ingress patterns.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS Well‑Architected Framework and cloud governance models.
