Located in the heart of the welcoming and thriving Balaklava community, Balaklava Primary School is seeking a passionate and capable Year 2/3 Classroom Teacher to join our team for a short-term contract from 10 August 2026 to 11 December 2026.

They will possess strong organisational skills, a team-oriented approach to working with colleagues, and the ability to design and deliver high-quality, engaging curriculum programs with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. A commitment to inclusive education practices and responsive teaching is essential, ensuring the diverse needs of learners are met while supporting student wellbeing, engagement and achievement within a Year 2/3 classroom setting.

What you will bring

- Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Current registration as a teacher with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and effective pedagogical practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging learning programs for primary-aged students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- A commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and high expectations for all learners.
