We have 2x, permanent, full-time positions commencing October, 2026. We provide a safe, secure, caring and supportive environment where students can have privacy and room to grow. Students are supervised by qualified professional staff members. They are dedicated to creating a wonderful boarding experience, helping to develop a healthy balance between study and recreation. Supervisors facilitate regular study sessions and tutoring; support boarders’ educational and sporting aspirations; and organise all sorts of recreational, leisure and social activities.

The Role The successful applicants will support and reinforce appropriate values and behaviours of students, and supervise students, fulfilling duty of care requirements in line with Department policy. They will respect and embrace diversity within the student population, and provide and supervise opportunities which support the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of students.

The Boarding

Supervisor will promptly report concerns with student and staff wellbeing, duty of care, occupational safety and health and maintenance matters to senior staff. This role will require the successful applicants to uphold the Public Sector Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct and work in accordance with Department requirements.

Eligibility To work with us, you must: Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start. Obtain or hold (and maintain) a current Working with Children Check;

Work according to rostered hours which may include nights, weekends and public holidays;

Obtain (prior to first rostered shift working with students) and maintain a current:

First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID009); and

First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID0011);

Within six months of commencement of employment obtain and maintain a current:

LR Class Driver’s Licence and a Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation;

Aquatic Rescue for Group III Pool Award*; and

Surf Rescue Certificate*;

Obtain a current Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC42021) within six months of commencement of employment.

Demonstrated skills and understandings appropriate to the supervision and care of students in a residential setting. Demonstrated capacity to initiate, plan, document and safely lead a wide range of leisure activities for secondary students. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to write plans, pastoral notes and reports; and interact positively with students and parents including those with diverse multicultural backgrounds.

Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team. Demonstrated capacity to successfully meet and maintain the required eligibility and training requirements of this position.
