Your new company Hays is partnering with a large State Government organisation seeking multiple Case Officers to join a busy and supportive team. These opportunities have arisen due to increased demand and offer the chance to contribute to meaningful community-focused outcomes while building valuable government experience. Your new role We are seeking multiple Case Officers for an immediate start.

Working within a high-volume environment, you will manage customer enquiries and provide case management support to individuals with complex circumstances. This role is heavily phone-based and requires ongoing contact with vulnerable customers and their support networks. A significant portion of your day will involve inbound and outbound calls, assisting customers, gathering information, responding to enquiries and coordinating support services.

The ability to communicate with empathy, professionalism and resilience is essential. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have worked within financial services environments and can apply their customer service, stakeholder management and administrative skills to support customers navigating complex personal and financial circumstances.

Key responsibilities include - Managing a caseload and providing ongoing support to customers

- Conducting high-volume inbound and outbound customer calls
- Supporting vulnerable customers through complex and sensitive situations
- Liaising with family members, carers, support services and external stakeholders
- Coordinating case-related activities and following up outstanding actions




- Preparing correspondence, maintaining records and updating databases
- Assessing information and ensuring accurate documentation of case outcomes
- Delivering high-quality customer service while managing competing priorities What you'll need to succeed - Previous experience in customer service, contact centre, case management or community-focused roles
- Strong telephone communication skills and confidence in managing sensitive conversations
- Experience supporting customers experiencing complex or challenging circumstances
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Solid administration and record-keeping abilities
- The ability to remain resilient, empathetic and professional when dealing with vulnerable customers
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
- Candidates with experience in financial services, banking, insurance, superannuation, wealth management, lending or trustee services will be highly regarded
- Experience managing customer accounts, financial transactions, client portfolios or complex customer cases will be viewed favourably
- A current National Police Check, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement What you’ll get in return - Immediate commencement
- Initial 6-week temporary assignment with potential for extension
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate of $47 per hour plus super
