The Program Support Worker: The Program Support Worker works across Yes Unlimited sites as determined by the monthly roster that is tailored to the varying organisational needs at any given time.



This role will primarily be based at Broughton House Youth Refuge, with opportunities to work at other sites from time to time. This includes the provision of a range of client, operational, administrative and residential support to ensure the effective daily functioning of the relevant service and high quality responses to client need.

What you'll be doing

- Deliver Direct Care & Supervision: Provide direct care, supervision, and daily support to residents as part of their placement and personal support plans.
- Partner on Casework Tasks: Undertake delegated casework goals and activities in close collaboration with Case Managers and the Centralised Intake, Assessment & Brief Intervention team.
- Build Independent Living Skills: Support residents in developing essential life skills—guiding them through meal preparation, health and hygiene practices, and maintaining shared house rosters.
- Maintain Site Operations & Safety: Keep the facility running smoothly by managing site supplies, addressing cleaning and maintenance needs, answering calls, conducting risk assessments and promptly reporting critical incidents.
- Ensure High-Quality Administration: Maintain precise, confidential, and up-to-date client records, team communication, incident reporting and contribute to regular service activity reports for the Program Manager.

Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications & Experience

- Have, or be working towards the completion of, a formal qualification in Social Work, Social Welfare, or related discipline and / or prior experience in working within the community sectors




- Prior experience in providing support services to the relevant target groups, including young people, women who have experienced domestic and family violence, or people experiencing homelessness will be a significant advantage

Skills & Knowledge

- A demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of Strengths Based and Trauma Informed principles and practice
- An understanding of the issues relating to homelessness in our local context
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to establish rapport, engage with and motivate others
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team toward established goals
- Sound administration skills including confidence in the use of information and communications technology

Other requirements

- Flexibility for weekends, evening and sleepover shifts
- Have and maintain a current driver’s licence, sound driving record and industry relevant Police and Working with Children clearance;
- Have and maintain a current First Aid Certificate.
