Overview Our play-centred program, Play2Learn, has supported young children across Australia to develop social skills, independence and capacity to learn. In Katherine, you will provide children with a quality early childhood education experience to support their learning appetite and smooth transition into school. 54 reasons is Australia’s leading child rights organisation – a not-for-profit with a strong focus on child well-being. With the child’s voice at the centre, we provide quality services to children and their caregivers across states, territories and communities, from programs to support services.

Responsibilities - Planning and facilitating weekly playgroup sessions

- Finding creative ways to engage families with our support programs and services
- Identifying and addressing physical, social/emotional, and educational needs
- Providing support and information to parents on developmental issues and making appropriate referrals to other health, education, and welfare agencies
- Supporting process monitoring, data collection, and reporting Qualifications - Qualification in Early Childhood Education preferred (minimum Certificate III is strongly preferred), or significant equivalent experience
- Experience working with children 0–6 years and families in a group setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework




- Prior experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and/or CALD communities is preferred
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Office programs and ability to use databases Benefits - Award rate salary (currently Level 3.1 - $40.49 per hour) plus full salary packaging benefits
