An established Goldfields mining and civil contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Excavator Operator to join our growing team. This is a residential position for someone based in the Goldfields who enjoys working across a variety of mine-site civil projects. We offer ongoing work, a flexible roster and the opportunity to be part of a small, professional team where quality workmanship is valued.
About the Role
You will be involved in a range of mining civil activities including:
- Civil earthworks
- Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) works
- Drainage and water management
- V-drain construction
- Soakwell installation
- Road construction and maintenance
- Final trim excavation
- Loading trucks and stockpile management
- Daily machine inspections and pre-starts
- Working safely in accordance with site procedures
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience operating excavators on civil projects
- Previous mine-site experience
- Excellent machine operating skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Strong communication skills
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Desirable
- TSF or water management experience
- HR Driver's Licence
- Experience operating additional civil plant
