Role Description The Civil Site Foreman is a full time, on-site role based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. This role oversees daily site operations on civil infrastructure projects, including coordinating crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.

The Civil Site

Foreman interprets drawings, sets out works, monitors quality, and ensures compliance with project plans, standards, and regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for managing site resources, scheduling tasks, maintaining accurate records, and reporting progress to project managers. The role also involves enforcing safety procedures, conducting toolbox talks, addressing site issues, and supporting a cooperative, efficient work environment.





Qualifications

Experience supervising civil construction sites, including earthworks, drainage, roads, or related infrastructure.

Strong skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.

Proficiency in site coordination, crew supervision, and subcontractor management.

Demonstrated ability to maintain safety standards, conduct site safety checks, and lead toolbox meetings.

Competence in site documentation, daily reporting, and basic use of project or construction management software.

Solid understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and quality control practices.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under time and resource constraints.

Current driver’s licence and ability to work on-site in varying weather and field conditions.

Relevant trade qualification or certificate in civil construction, supervision, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Previous experience in infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, or marine works is highly regarded.

Construction White Card and other applicable safety or industry certifications are an advantage.
