Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Client Safeguarding & Incident Oversight Lead to drive best practice in safeguarding, client safety, complaints management and incident oversight across the organisation.

Responsibilities

- Lead safeguarding, client safety and complaint management frameworks across Youturn.
- Provide oversight of incidents, serious concerns and risk management processes.
- Support leaders and teams to manage sensitive matters confidently and effectively.
- Identify trends, analyse data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build organisational capability through coaching, advice and practical guidance.
- Work collaboratively with leaders, stakeholders and regulators to strengthen service quality and client outcomes.

Location

Office‑based position: Caboolture, Toowoomba or Sunshine Coast office. Remote work not suitable.

Required Experience and Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in safeguarding, client safety, quality, governance, complaints management, investigations or incident oversight.
- Strong judgement, problem‑solving ability and experience managing complex or sensitive issues.




- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence positive outcomes.
- Understanding of governance, risk, compliance and continuous improvement within health, community services, mental health or human services environments.
- Passion for creating safe, rights‑based and trauma‑informed service environments.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Law, Public Health, Human Services or a related discipline.
- Professional registration or accreditation relevant to your discipline is highly regarded.
