Our Client is seeking a passionate and strategic Community Assets Planning Officer to play a key role in planning, developing, and enhancing community assets and public spaces. This is an exciting opportunity for a planning skilled who enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders, driving strategic initiatives, and making a positive impact on the community.

About the Role Reporting to the Community Assets Planning Team Leader, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and implementing strategies, policies, and plans that guide the future direction of community assets and services.

You will work across a diverse range of projects, helping to ensure that community infrastructure and public spaces continue to meet the evolving needs of residents, visitors, sporting groups, and community organisations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the development and implementation of Plans of Management, Master Plans,



and strategic policies for community assets.
- Support the planning and review of public land, recreation facilities, and community infrastructure.
- Prepare grant applications and supporting documentation to secure funding opportunities.
- Research social, economic, and industry trends to inform planning and service delivery.
- Review legislation, policies, and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate and support community engagement and consultation activities.
- Provide advice and support to community groups, sporting organisations, and Council committees.
- Respond to customer enquiries and stakeholder requests.
- Coordinate projects from planning through to delivery.
