South Coast Community College (RTO 6558) is seeking a professional, organised and customer‑focused Community Engagement Outreach Support (CEOS) to join our team.
About the Role
This is a temporary, part-time position (0.4 FTE, 15.2 hours per week, approximately 2 days per week). This role is focused on community outreach, stakeholder engagement and representing the organisation across a broad geographic area of Southern NSW.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote South Coast Community College’s Adult and Community Education (ACE) and Foundation Skills programs through community outreach, events and engagement activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, schools, local businesses, employers and other stakeholders.
- Represent the College at community events, expos, information sessions and culturally significant events.
- Identify community needs and contribute to strategies that improve access to education and training for disadvantaged, marginalised and underrepresented groups.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support student engagement, participation and program outcomes.
- Develop and strengthen referral pathways with community agencies, employment services, and support organisations.
This position offers flexibility in working arrangements; however, working days and hours are not fixed and will be determined by operational priorities, outreach opportunities and community engagement requirements. The role also requires regular travel throughout the Southern NSW and South Coast regions, with occasional travel to Sydney and Wollongong. Occasional work outside standard business hours,
including evenings and weekends, may be required to support events, stakeholder meetings, and community engagement activities.
About You (Selection Criteria)
- Qualifications in adult education, community development, social services, training and assessment or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, outreach, stakeholder engagement, learner support or related field.
- Knowledge of the Adult and Community Education (ACE) sector, Foundation Skills programs and Vocational Education and Training (VET).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with community groups, employers, service providers and other stakeholders.
- A current driver’s licence and the capacity to undertake regular travel as required.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement.
