We are looking for a Customer Care Officer to join our Finance Broking team based out of our Cranbourne office. We're open to full time or part-time candidates: if you bring strong settlements experience, this role can be done well in a part-time capacity.

About the Role

This is the role that looks after clients once their loan is approved. You'll coordinate settlements from approval through to completion, working alongside brokers, lenders, conveyancers and solicitors to make sure funds, documentation and lender conditions all line up on the day.

But it doesn't stop at settlement. You'll also run our post-settlement care program, checking in with clients at three weeks, six months, twelve months and beyond, so they stay supported long after the paperwork is signed. It's a role for someone who takes real satisfaction in being the person clients can rely on.

About You

We are looking for someone with prior experience in banking, settlements, customer care, conveyancing or law.



You communicate clearly and are good with people: warm, professional, and the kind of person clients trust with something as significant as their home loan. You are organised, take initiative, and can hold multiple files at different stages without letting anything slip.

You'll also bring

- At least 2 years' experience in a settlements, banking, conveyancing or client care role
- A working understanding of end-to-end lending processes and Australian responsible lending obligations
- Strong attention to detail: in this role, small errors carry real consequences for clients
- Confidence dealing directly with clients, lenders and third parties
- A solutions-first mindset: you look for ways to fix issues, not just flag them

Responsibilities

- Coordinate settlements end to end, tracking dates and liaising with clients, banks, conveyancers and solicitors
- Manage execution and return of loan documentation, and ensure all lender conditions are satisfied
- Confirm settlement adjustments and funds to complete, and guide clients through account disbursements
- Issue settlement advices to clients, referrers and key stakeholders
- Run the post-settlement check-in program, including interest rate and mortgage health checks
- Review and manage the Back Book to support client satisfaction and retention
- Resolve escalations and complex queries, escalating to the Broker where appropriate
- Maintain accurate, complete records in the CRM and supporting systems
- Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities through client contact and campaign activity
