We are a leading ICT Consultancy based in Perth. Due to upcoming project work we are looking to bring on an experienced 'Hands on' Technical Cyber Security Architect with previous experience in the WA government sector. This initial 12-month contract with a further 12-month extension.
Ideally you will have a strong background in Cyber Security, security frameworks and IAM products. This initial 12-month contract project will focus on the review of current software security and vulnerabilities and manage the recommended security changes and maturity of the cyber security policies for one of our key government clients. Strong focus on meeting Essential 8 accreditation levels.
Key skills and background:
- 5 years+ Technical Solutions Architecture experience
- Strong Security solutions background
- Previous experience in a Security Lead or Security Solutions Architect role
- Proven and demonstrable experience in developing and implementing Information Technology improvements and standards in accordance with Enterprise architecture
- Demonstrable knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, ACSC Essential Eight, WA Cyber Security Policy);
- Experience prototyping and implementing security frameworks and IAM products in a hands-on application development environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of security technologies (e.g., firewalls,
intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPN, endpoint protection)
- Ability to produce findings and recommendations, risk treatment action plans and implementation of controls, business process re-engineering for remediation and protection activity
- Product solution designs to assist with: Whitelisting for Software Applications, Network Segmentation and Hardening, Implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for bespoke applications, Re-engineering of security patching activities, SEIM implementation and mondernisation.
- Assist with meeting Essential 8 accreditation levels.
- Advanced Communication and analytical skills
- Any previous experience working in a government environment would be highly desirable.
