WiSEMedical Sutherland Shire is looking for a new team of Specialist Hub Patient Liaison Officers (PLOs), our medical receptionists, who will be the first point of contact in our allied health Specialist Hub for our patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service while maintaining the smooth operationof the Specialist Hub. This role requires a proactive and confident individual who can manage various tasks with attention to detail and a compassionate approach.

The Caringbah location is scheduled to open 7thSeptember 2026 . Training will be conducted from early to mid-August in our Macquarie Park location to ensure that our new team are fully equipped and ready for our September grand opening. This rolewill startas a casual with ongoing bases in August2026, official date to be confirmed.Permanent opportunities can be discussed for suitable candidates.

This role requires a valid paid Working with Children Check, as well as evidence of immunity to the specific diseases outlined under the NSW Health Category A mandatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Management:

- Greet andassistpatients and visitors with a friendly and professionaldemeanour.
- Answer and direct phone calls efficiently, handling inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area.

Administrative Support:

- Manage and update patient databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries; create invoices as needed.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
- Manage office inventory and order supplies when necessary.
- Assistwith document preparation, including forms and reports.

Customer Service:





- Handle patient complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Provide clear communication and support to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Proactivelyidentifyareas where support is needed and take initiative to address them.

Management support of Specialist Rooms:

- Assistof the setup of each roomon a daily basis, including specialist signage on doors,cleanlinessand upkeep, stocktake reporting, general operation of hardware (Computers and Printersoperatingcorrectly) andappropriate in-roomsignage to signify the unavailability of rooms forgeneral use.
- Support coordination of ordering needs to theWiSEOne office orappropriate personsfor purchase.

Onboarding of Specialists:

- Support the onboarding process for new specialists, encompassing tasks such as setting up specialists on C2C, obtaining provider and prescriber numbers, and ensuring the setup of pathology, radiology, and other diagnostic services for the doctors.
- Assistto the onboarding procedure document to ensure effective completion of these tasks.

Qualifications &Skills;:

- Medical/ healthcare receptionist experience highly preferrable, reception experience acceptable
- Allied health specialist reception experience highly preferrable
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and Australian healthcare system is preferred.




- Proficiencyin computerized scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR) is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in touch typing (minimum 60 words per minute).
- Experienced in payment processing and invoice creation.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment tomaintainingconfidentiality.

WiSE Medical is a walk-in specialist emergency clinic based in Macquarie Park and Robina, Gold Coast, with a third emergency clinic opening in Caringbah, NSW in September 2026.
