Responsibilities As a Detention Youth Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring young people are kept safe and well while they are in detention.
You will be someone who: Encourages young people to make valuable decisions by promoting and reinforcing positive behaviour to help them integrate back into the community.
Helps young people understand and follow the rules of the centre.
Delivers activities that are sensitive to gender, cultural beliefs, and health needs.
Is a trusted individual young people can talk to if needed.
Regularly checks on young people during the day and night to ensure their wellbeing.
Engages young people in constructive activities. Multiple positions available! Applications to remain current for 12 months.
