We are currently looking for an experienced Digital Engineering Lead to join KBR Adelaide supporting large-scale projects within defence, transport, buildings and water across Australia.
The Digital Engineering Lead provides technical leadership, governance and strategic direction for Digital Engineering delivery across projects and markets. The role mentors practitioners, develops standards and methodologies, and works across the broader Digital & Systems team to advance KBR's Digital Engineering capability.
Who are you?
You are an experienced Digital Engineering practitioner who has progressed beyond technical delivery into leadership, governance and capability development. You bring a robust understanding of Digital Engineering, information management and digital delivery frameworks, together with the ability to mentor practitioners, influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across projects and the broader business.
As the Digital Engineering Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership and governance for Digital Engineering delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
- Developing, implementing and continuously improving Digital Engineering frameworks, standards, methodologies and assurance processes.
- Mentoring and supporting Digital Engineering Coordinators and project teams to achieve successful delivery outcomes.
- Leading the development and implementation of Digital Engineering Execution Plans (DEEPs), information management frameworks and digital delivery strategies.
- Ensuring project Digital Engineering delivery aligns with ISO 19650, client requirements and organisational standards.
- Facilitating collaboration between Digital Engineering, Information Management, Systems Engineering and Digital Development teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes through innovation, automation, emerging technologies and data-driven delivery approaches.
- Supporting bids,
proposals and client engagements by providing Digital Engineering expertise and capability leadership.
- Contributing to the ongoing advancement of KBR's Digital Engineering capability through standards development, training, lessons learned and strategic improvement initiatives.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to project teams and stakeholders on Digital Engineering, information management and digital delivery matters.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Information Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Must be an Australian Citizen due to Defence project requirements.
- Significant experience delivering Digital Engineering, BIM, Information Management or digital delivery services on complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of ISO 19650, information management principles and digital delivery frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Digital Engineering standards, frameworks, methodologies or Digital Engineering Execution Plans (DEEPs).
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing stakeholders across project delivery, design and construction environments.
- Strong understanding of asset information management, digital handover requirements and the information lifecycle.
- Experience mentoring technical practitioners and supporting capability development within project teams and organisations.
- Ability to balance strategic objectives, project delivery requirements and client outcomes.
- Broad understanding of Digital Engineering technologies, interoperability principles and Common Data Environment platforms.
- Experience with automation, digital innovation,
data-driven delivery approaches or emerging technologies would be highly regarded.
- Experience supporting bids, tenders, client engagement and business development activities would be advantageous.
