Role currently available for immediate start in Logan Reserve and Ipswich Areas
About the Role The role of a Support Worker is varied, including transporting participants to activities and appointments and helping with tasks at home. Support is provided individually or in groups, either at home or in the community. Your role is crucial in delivering high-quality, safe support that enhances participants' lives and empowers them to make choices and control their plans. While most work is during the day, flexibility for evenings, weekends, and public holidays is required.
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Supporting clients with daily activities in home and within community.
- Offering companionship and engaging clients in meaningful activities and outings.
- Assisting with transportation and facilitating community access by accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, and other events.
- Aiding clients in completing documentation and handling administrative tasks related to their care.
- Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to address and fulfill their needs.
About You:
- A true desire to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities in the community.
- Energetic, positive, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proven experience as a Disability Support Worker and/or Cert III in Individual Support
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate is mandatory prior to commencement
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster, including weekends (Desirable) for some participants)
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Current National Police Check (within 12 months validity), (or be prepared to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or be prepared to obtain)
- Current Yellow and Blue Card
- Australian Driver’s License with insured, registered, and dependable vehicle
- Willingness to be a positive member within our team!!!
