About the Role
We're looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in Logan, supporting children with complex, high intensity care needs. This isn't entry-level work. The children you'll support rely on skilled hands and calm judgement every shift, whether that's managing a ventilator overnight, responding to a seizure, or making sure a hoist transfer is secure and dignified. If you've built these skills and want to use them where they matter most, we want to hear from you.
You'll never be thrown in cold. Before you start with any participant, you'll complete participant-specific training and competency assessment developed and delivered by our Registered Nurses, in line with the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high intensity supports in line with each participant's Complex Care Plan, including:
- Oxygen and non-invasive ventilation management
- Airway and secretion management, including suctioning
- NGT feeding and enteral nutrition support
- Epilepsy and seizure monitoring and response
- Provide safe hoist transfers and complex manual handling
- Carry out pressure care and repositioning as per care plans
- Support personal care, continence care, and medication assistance
- Monitor participants and escalate any changes or concerns to our nursing team promptly
- Keep accurate, timely records of care delivered
- Support each child to participate in family life and their community the clinical work exists so the childhood can happen
Skills & Experience
You must hold (or be eligible for):
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) - desirable
You'll also bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering high intensity supports, ideally with children
- Confidence with clinical tasks such as suctioning, NGT feeding, and ventilation support (or willingness to complete our RN-led competency training)
- Sound judgement, you know when to act, when to escalate, and how to stay calm under pressure
- A genuine respect for participant dignity, choice, and family involvement
- Reliability. Families depend on consistent workers, and so do we
- A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Benefits & Culture
- Competitive hourly rates
- Flexible rostering
- Participant specific training: delivered by Registered Nurses before you commence with each participant, with annual competency reassessment to keep your skills sharp
- Real clinical support: RN oversight on every complex participant, with clear escalation pathways
- Consistent participant allocation: we roster small, stable teams around each child so you can build real relationships
We're a nurse-led NDIS provider supporting participants across Logan, Ipswich, and Brisbane. Our whole model is built on doing complex care properly trained workers, and supports that focus on what the participant actually wants and needs.
