About My Choice My Support:

My Choice My Support (MCMS) is an NDIS Registered Provider founded and based in Canberra. We link people with disability with support workers to maximise choice, control and flexibility to NDIS participants and others. MCMS Disability Support Workers provide assistance at home, personal care and community participation support to people with disability seeking to live full lives as valued members of society.

MCMS is an employer of skilled, trained and experienced staff who provide enabling supports. People with disability directly or indirectly (with assistance) determine how, where, when and in what way their supports are provided.

About the role

Successful Disability Support Worker applicants will be required to work with people with disability in their homes and in the community. Services provided can include personal care, high intensity supports, social & community outings and assistance with activities of daily life including cooking and domestic tasks.

To be considered for this role you will be required to:

1. Provide a cover letter stating the reason for your interest in the position and why you can make a difference to the lives of the people you work with.

Provide high-quality support services to people with disability.
3. Undergo training as required.
4. Have excellent weekday daytime availability.
5. Use an App to manage your roster (training provided if required).
6. Work and effectively communicate with MCMS management to resolve or clarify issues relating to the support services being provided to participants.
7. Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of employees, participants, and their families.
8. Work within the NDIS setting to contribute effectively to sustaining My Choice My Support as a viable, values-based, charitable, not-for-profit, non-government organisation.
9. Use your own fully comprehensively insured vehicle for work.

You must have or be willing to complete

- Working With Vulnerable People/NDIS Worker Screening
- First Aid including CPR
- NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Experience / knowledge of working in the Disability or Aged Care sectors
