The property features 22 premium accommodation offerings, including Ocean View Hot Tub Villas, the iconic Rockpool Residence (featured on Grand Designs Australia in 2019), and a boutique glamping village, complemented by an on-site restaurant, wellness experiences and grand event facilities.

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for an ongoing position.
The Role
As Duty Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the retreat,
ensuring every guest receives exceptional service while supporting our close-knit team across all areas of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on variety, leads by example and enjoys working in a dynamic environment. Applicants should expect an active role involving regular movement throughout the property (approximately 5,000+ steps per day).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the resort and guest services.
- Supervise housekeeping and food & beverage operations, including staff rostering.
- Assist with breakfast service and kitchen operations when required.
- Manage guest enquiries via phone, email and online messaging platforms in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor reservations, availability and rates within the property's booking management system.
- Consistently exceed guest expectations through exceptional service.
- Coordinate arrivals, departures and daily operational activities.
- Maintain the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness and hospitality.
- Manage online distribution channels, including Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and boutique travel partners.
- Support co-ordination & execution of wedding bookings, retreats and special events.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call roster to respond to guest emergencies when required.
- Work alongside senior management on exciting growth projects, including new wellness facilities, yoga and Pilates spaces, agri-tourism initiatives and future developments.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Duty Manager within the hospitality industry.
- Previous kitchen or food service experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Confidence working autonomously and making operational decisions in a remote luxury tourism environment.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to assist wherever required.
- Current Australian working rights.
- A current driver's licence (preferred).
- Experience using Little Hotelier PMS and Google Workspace would be highly regarded but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Conditions
- Full-time salaried position.
- Five-day working week.
- Participation in an after-hours on-call roster.
- On-site accommodation, internet and some meals provided.
