About the role

C.R Thorn & Sons Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis in Ashburton, VIC 3147. As an Electrician, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, compliant, and professional electrical solutions to our diverse client base.

You will work on a variety of projects, contributing to the continued growth and success of our organisation whilst maintaining our commitment to excellence and safety standards.

What you'll be doing

- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure accurate installation and compliance.
- Testing electrical systems and components using specialised equipment to identify faults and ensure proper functionality.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on electrical installations to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshooting electrical problems and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Installing and maintaining lighting systems, power distribution systems, control systems, and other electrical equipment.
- Adhering to all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Collaborating with other tradespeople, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.




- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, and materials used on each project.
- Assisting with the training and guidance of apprentices and junior staff members as required.

What we're looking for

- Current electrical licence valid in Victoria
- Extensive experience working as a qualified Electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments
- Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and Australian Standards relevant to electrical work
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- White Card (construction induction), EWP Licence and Working with children checks are highly desirable.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
